A Simple Cycle That Keeps People and Teams in Motion
“We know what to do — but the momentum fades.”
“We come up with ideas — but they never stick.”
Sometimes the issue isn’t about missing plans. It’s about missing a structure that keeps people moving. At Soralist, we use a model called PDT (Purpose – Do – Talk) to support sustained action — without pressure or burnout.
What is PDT?
PDT isn’t a complicated framework. It’s a simple cycle — built around three repeating questions:
Purpose
Why are we doing this? Why now?
Do
What small step can we try now?
Talk
How did it go? What did we learn?
This loop — run weekly or by project phase — supports action that is neither over-planned nor random. It helps people keep moving, with just the right amount of reflection.
Why a Cycle?
Because momentum comes from returning — not just advancing.
Without Talk, action becomes a blur — no learning, no sharing.
Without Do, conversation turns into empty theory.
Without Purpose, activity loses direction.
You don’t have to follow it rigidly. Even if just one person keeps the cycle going, change will begin.
When PDT Helps
As a shared rhythm for starting new team efforts
As a lightweight format for weekly check-ins
As a solo tool for individual reflection and learning
PDT works best not as a rule, but as a mindset — a way of checking in, realigning, and moving forward gently.
